So I made the fudge, and darned if I didn’t forget to take a picture… Anyway, it took approximalely 4.5 phone calls to my Grandmother in PA. I overcooked it a bit, but all it and all it turned out really well. The flavor was correct, just a little hard. J enjoyed it, he ate almost all of it. And even tried to share with his dad.
The real recipe:
- 2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
- 1 CUP WHITE SUGAR
- 1/4 CUP BUTTER
- 1/3 CUP TO 1/2 CUP MILK MILK
- COOK TILL SOFT BALL IN COLD WATER – like a mushy caramel.. About 8 minutes or so. Just keep dropping a little into COLD water..
- ADD PEANUT BUTTER – about 3/4 cup
- Add Vanilla – 1 tsp.
- Beat till cool
- Poor on plate
There, now don’t those make a lot more sense??
