Handmade Christmas Cards…

Nothing says “I’m thinking of you” as much as a handmade card.  I’ve made 100’s of cards over the years, and while each holds a special place in my heart, Christmas cards have to be my favorite.

I can remember being a child at Gram & Pap’s and counting the cards on the wall, looking to see if she received the same cards from the same people that we did.  Mostly all family, so of course they are the same.  I’ve sent store bought cards, and handmade cards both over the years.  I’m participating in the 12 Weeks of Christmas Card Challenges over at Scrapbook Express.  We’re up to week five.  We’ll start week six tomorrow.  I’m taking the challenge, and making 2 cards.  This will give me enough to send to immediate family, and those who cherish the thought that goes into a handmade card.

If you are a card maker, you should stop by and join us.  It’s a lot of fun, and you could even win a prize in the end.

  1. These are great! I like the top ones best. We usually do a family photo/newsletter type one but I’ve already decided this year to make it more “hands on”. Have to check out the link, thanks.

  2. Stephanie, I stopped over from a comment you made at our friend Pioneer Woman’s blog. I am so glad I did! These cards are beautiful. Do you have any tips for someone who has never made cards before? I would love to send out homemade cards this season, but have no idea how to get started.
